The future of hybrid vehicles

Hybrid vehicles have been around for 10 years. They look like normal production cars and there are a couple of stand alone hybrids like the PRIUS. Hybrids are slowly changing the world slowly and steadily. On an average, there are 100,000 hybrids sold in the U.S. every year. But there are some people who prefer the rush of a ferrari driven down the road at 200MPH. There are some hybrids that fulfill the role of a hybrid that can go to 200mph and theres currently only one. The porshe 918 is a sports car that can go over 200mph and also can get 70mpg. The Honda CRZ is a sporty car that is a hybrid. It gets good fuel mileage and can fulfill the adrenaline rush of a sports car.

Companies are currently working on new technology that save gas and giving the extra horsepower for someone whos not a soccer mom or a minivan driver such as a diesel turbocharged engine or direct fuel injection. Combing all of this into an engine that is in a hybrid car, you get almost double the gas mileage
